THE PLATFORM

  • Overlay across historic sections of 30318 that mandate developer contributions to amenities, infrastructure, and schools as a condition of scaled residential development.

    • Based on unit count, builders must fund or construct public-use amenities, allocate to ‘community school support fund’ or contribute to roads, stormwater or street lighting inside the zone.

Goal: Prioritize partnership with NPU as direction to build stronger stable communities in areas of need.

  • Support existing legislation and reform zoning ordinances to expand our home ownership needs in Atlanta.

    • Raising height caps, reducing setbacks in R‑4/R‑4A, enabling for‑sale ADUs with split parcel limitations, and increasing mutli-unit allowances in zoning city-wide.

    • Goal: Increase supply on available home-options & drive down  “affordable home prices”.

  • Backed by public-private partnerships – students in need can earn family support for attending every single day of school, maintaining a minimum 2.9 GPA and never receiving a behavior citation in or out of the classroom.

    • High School students with economic hardships will be able to earn up to $4,000 for their household. Seniors who complete this program will be eligible for a workforce development apprenticeship upon graduation.

    • Goal: Return the value and importance of youth education to the economic realities of 2025. Reduce juvenile delinquency & petty crime.

  • Immediately audit and repair neglected roadways to cure hazardous potholes & sinkholes. Simultaneously fund water system improvement to stabilize stormwater road repair issues.

    • Launch a transparent infrastructure repair tracker open to the public with timelines, contractors, and budgets available online; including resident self-submission.

    • Goal: Provide much needed constituent visibility into road repairs for executional clarity

  • Co-Locate Atlanta Police Units in city facilities to create embedded substations to decrease response time and suppress crime. Additionally, support increased salary pay for stronger recruitment.

    • Create mini public safety substations in libraries, recreation centers or MARTA hubs. Target locations with response delays or repeat 911 calls. Reduce over policing with non-violent increasing the Police Alternative Division personnel such as behavioral health alternatives for broader non-emergency coverage.

    • Goal: Create stronger public safety for all residents; keep crime below municipal year averages

  • Streamline the CO and beverage license process for small business entrepreneurs. Establish a West Midtown Small Business Stabilization Grant Program for new & proven economic drivers.

    • Launch an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) program that places city supported advisors that directly assists small business owners. Offer direct relief to proven or struggling small businesses for rent, utilities, or payroll.

    • Goal: Fight against the sudden wave of small business hospitality closures in the West Midtown corridor.

  • Adjusting property tax relief not just based on age, but on length of residency, helping long-time residents stay in place as values rise.

    • Residents who have lived in their home for at least 20 years will be eligible for permanent or reduced rates. Based on tenure, not only the age of resident.

    • Goal: Preserve neighborhood identity while allowing for generational wealth building.

  • Providing economic relief for union workers against unforeseen hardship while fighting for higher wages.

    • Mandating a "transition period" for terminated city of Atlanta union workers -- implementing “just cause” employment protections to end at-will firing without reason.

    • Goal: Giving our workers the stability they need incase they need new opportunities. Stronger union workers means a stronger city of Atlanta.

  • Deliver on the promise of rail transit along our corridors. Invest in Beltline Rail.

    • Deliver on a groundbreaking date to start building and reconnecting Atlanta. Providing a fast, reliable & safe transit rail option to remove the surplus of cars on our roads.

    • Goal: Connect our neighborhoods, reduces congestion, and ensures working families have access to reliable, affordable transportation.

  • Conduct a flood vulnerability map and prioritize drainage upgrades

    • Deliver on a complete plan with tangible steps where residents can see neighborhood impacts. 1) Replace aging pipes, 2) expand stormwater retention capacity and 3) increase inlet capacity to safely disperse flood water.

    • Goal: Increase storm drains and curb inlets in neighborhoods where water currently pools on streets
